Steve McCurry has been considered one of the most authoritative voices in contemporary photography for over fifty years. His mastery of color, empathy, and humanity make his photographs unforgettable.

An exhibition of over 150 photographs, including some surprising unpublished images, will be on display at the Salone degli Incanti in Trieste from November 15, 2024 to May 4, 2025.

Through his images, McCurry brings us closer to remote peoples and reveals hidden fragments of humanity, revealing universal feelings through proud and dignified faces. His shots cross geographical and social borders, guiding us to the discovery of a world in constant change. The exhibition opens with a series of portraits of extraordinary intensity and continues with images that range from war and poetry, suffering and joy, amazement and irony, composing a mosaic of emotions that capture the gaze and touch the soul.

The exhibition is curated by Biba Giacchetti with the artistic direction of Gianni Mercurio. This retrospective offers a profound and symbolic look at the work of one of the greatest masters of contemporary photography.
